Australian" hip-hop/neo soul duo SO.Crates are proud to announce the launch of their new album, Be-Sides and Rarities. The record is a combination of fan favourite cuts from compilations, single b-sides and new material recorded for the album.
Fresh from their first European tour where SO.Crates performed in some of the continent's most beloved theatres supporting Hiatus Kaiyote, the Crates are ready to cap off a busy year with a whole swag full of new tunes for your incoming summer.
It's a Crates Christmas miracle, one for the heads - that pure funk that’s too funky for the architects.
Support comes from the legendary Silent Jay. The producer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist has been a constant figure attached to defining projects of the past decade from Hiatus Kaiyote to Sampa The Great. All the while his own beat tapes have garnered a cult-like following.
Also performing is Tasmanian artist Grace Chia, who blends her poetry roots with impactful hip-hop and soulful RnB, addressing political and social issues often overlooked in mainstream media.
Featuring DJ sets throughout the night from Naarm's own El Fuentes.
