Sonnen Wine is the passion project of Tasmanian viticulturist Luke Andree, who started the label in 2020 while tending the vines at Mewstone. What began as a side project — a Riesling and Pinot Noir — has grown into a full exploration of Tasmania’s vineyards, producing wines that are bright, expressive, and made for good times, with a playful, experimental edge.
Luke’s journey into wine is anything but typical: from studying physiotherapy and working at a local Dan Murphy’s, to vintages across Australia and Germany, he has built a deep understanding of vineyards, minimal-intervention winemaking, and what makes Tasmanian sites truly sing. Every bottle of Sonnen reflects that journey — combining terroir-driven fruit with modern, approachable styles, often unfiltered and made with careful attention to natural fermentations.
Expect Riesling, Pinot Noir, Chardonnays, and innovative blends that lean fresh and vibrant, perfect for exploring both the unique character of Tasmania and the creative spirit of its winemakers.
