Arraiá do Baque 2026
Arraiá do Baque is a vibrant celebration of Brazilian Northeastern traditions, blending the joyful spirit of a traditional festa junina with the powerful rhythms of maracatu. Unlike a traditional Festa Junina, the event places a strong focus on cultural exchange, promoting Brazilian heritage through both performances and hands-on experiences.
The program includes a live percussion performance by Maracatu Baque Voador, creating an immersive and electrifying atmosphere. The night also features a performance by Lamparina Forró Jazz, whose sound blends the rhythms of forró with a jazzy twist, offering a dynamic and contemporary take on this beloved traditional style.
In addition to the performances, Arraiá do Baque hosts interactive workshops in maracatu, capoeira angola, and forró dance, inviting participants of all levels to engage directly with these rich traditions. Guests can also enjoy a range of traditional Brazilian foods and drinks typical of festa junina, alongside lively dance moments—from quadrilha to spontaneous forró dances—where the whole community is encouraged to join in.
With festive decorations, vibrant costumes, and an inclusive, welcoming vibe, Arraiá do Baque brings people together through rhythm, movement, flavour, and cultural connection.
