Born from friendship, travel, and countless harvest parties, Foreign Friends celebrates connection, good times, and the powerhouse women of history. Since launching in 2023, their wines have been all about freshness, fruit purity, and personality — a reflection of the trio’s shared passion and diverse skillsets.
Leila, the winemaker, brings experience from Beechworth’s Domenica and Sorrenberg, as well as vintages in Tasmania and France. Crystal, the marketing powerhouse, and Juliette, a French wine distribution expert, round out the team to create a label that’s as thoughtful and bold as it is fun. Each cuvée — named after trailblazing women like Virginia Woolf, Ada Lovelace, and Jeanne Baret — showcases both character and accessibility, inviting all friends, old and new, to share in the experience.
From whites like Savagnin, Chenin Blanc, and Chardonnay to a Rosé from Nebbiolo, and reds from Gamay and Barbera, Foreign Friends wines are crafted with purity and vibrancy at the forefront. Many are sourced from Beechworth and surrounding Victorian vineyards, with Leila personally managing key blocks to ensure every bottle reflects care from vine to glass.
