More than twenty years after the release of their alt-rock album “Everything Is Nothing”, The Peppermints present you with a catalogue of songs by Mint to celebrate their legacy and influence in the Australian rock music scene.

Led by Melinda Wood, mother of The Peppermints’ very own Eden Beveridge-Wood, Mint was an alternative-rock band well ahead of their time, featured in Beat Magazine among others, releasing both an EP and LP in their time as a group before their split in the early noughties.

In 2017, Melinda was diagnosed with behavioral-variant frontotemporal dementia at age 47, a terminal illness severely affecting memory and behaviour. Eight years after her diagnosis, The Peppermints are collaborating with the Australian Frontotemporal Dementia Association to raise funds for carer support, awareness, reducing diagnosis delays, and other missions.

The leading ladies of The Peppermints, Monika Jurisic and Eden Beveridge-Wood, use their powerful dynamic and enchanting vocals to reimagine Mint’s songs for a new audience, whilst still bringing that punky, rock-chic vibe of their source materials.

Joined by powerhouse bands The Noise, Harriet Wraith, and Erica Avenue, this unforgettable night of women in Melbourne music is one not to miss. Great Australian tunes will be accompanied by door prizes from Australian businesses, and The Peppermints merchandise. Proceeds will be donated to the AFTDA, with direct donations also encouraged.
