Stuck in The Stars Festival returns on May 2nd at The Evelyn Hotel, a night of live music, community, and purpose.

Held in memory of Taran “Taz” Child, who passed away from leukemia in July 2024 at just 19, this event celebrates his love of music while supporting a cause close to his heart. The festival is dedicated to showcasing Melbourne’s emerging artists and creating space for young musicians to be heard.

Taz was an incredibly honest, creative, and loyal person with the ability to make people feel seen, heard and understood. Through the years he battled leukemia, his love for connection and music prevailed, collaborating constantly with friends, writing every day, and creating new bands. He was an enormously talented guitarist and producer with an innate musicality, and this lives on through the music he recorded. His sense of humour, smile, and laugh are remembered dearly by those who love him.

Organised by Taz’s close friends and family, 100% of proceeds from ticket sales and the night’s raffle will be donated to Challenge, a not-for-profit organisation that supports children and families living with cancer by addressing their practical, social, and emotional needs.

The evening will also feature a raffle packed with prizes, including vouchers, merchandise, and experiences from local businesses and venues that Taz loved and frequented.

Thanks to the incredible support of the community, last year’s event raised over $9,000 across ticket sales, raffles, and special donations. This year, we’re aiming to go even further and make it an unforgettable night.
If you can’t make it, you can still contribute by donating directly to Challenge.

Come along, support local music, and be part of something meaningful.
