YoWo Music formed in 2015 to give young women and gender-diverse teens in high school an opportunity to play/write music in a band led by a powerhouse female mentor who is an active musician in the Australian music scene.
Each program lasts one semester, with weekly workshops culminating in a performance at a local venue.
This semester’s showcase will feature:
‘Pretty Clear Sign’ mentored by Loz Irwin-Ray
‘Thunderlegs’ mentored by Laura Baxter
‘No Left Turn’ mentored by Holly Thomas
‘Cryday’ mentored by Bianca Kyriacou
