Back for its seventh season at The Evelyn Hotel eXposure brings together the city’s most exciting genre-defying talent for one high-energy, confetti-soaked night of live performance, connection, and opportunity.
Since launching in 2021, eXposure has become a vital launchpad for emerging artists and a trusted meeting point for industry professionals who are done with outdated models. Built by creatives, for creatives, it strips away barriers and opens the room to musicians across every sound—rock, hip-hop, soul, pop, reggae, Latin, country, indie, blues, opera and everything in between.
At the centre is founder Johnno, a music and arts professional with over 30 years’ experience across theatre, touring, and the live entertainment world in both the UK and Australia. Having multiple industry connections with global icons including Boy George and Boney M, Johnno brings a deep industry network and a simple philosophy: the magic happens when artists and industry share the same room, and actually connect. That magic comes to life in the eXposure finale, a moment that captures the raw energy of Melbourne’s independent music scene and turns a showcase into something unforgettable.
