Melbourne artist Francesca Gonzales has been captivating audiences through her powerful vocals, catchy disco grooves and soul-pop prowess.

Armed with her signature keytar, Francesca has been commanding audiences with her energetic live shows and infectious songwriting.

Her latest offering, ‘Dumb Boy,’ produced by Sydney’s Dave Hammer (Jeffe, Ro, Lime Cordiale) is a song about meeting rejection with confidence and dating in the 21st Century.

‘Dumb Boy’ sees Francesca culminate the sound on her past two releases and boldly push it forward with tight r’n’b grooves, infectious melodies and progressive production.

The release build on her previous releases and work, where Francesca teamed with producers Tom Hutchens, Simon Lam (Kllo, I'lls) to calve the electronic soul, disco pop of her 2016 EP “Anywhere Boy.” In 2017, Francesca teamed up with Matthew Neighbour (Jen Cloher, The Avalanches, Matt Corby) and built upon her sound, moving into more analogue territory, exploring an experimental jazz and soul texture for her self titled EP released that year.

The first single off her self titled EP, “Better Person” was described as an “instant classic” by theMusic and a 41/2 star review on tripleJ unearthed by JJJ’s Richard Kingsmill. The hype continued to build with ‘Baby Give It Up’ which added to Double J Best New Music, Rare Finds and WHAT'S GOOD Spotify playlists, Bridget Hustwaite's Sound of February and received excellent coverage across Purple Sneakers, Auspop and Conversation About Her.

Following the release of Dumb Boy, Francesca will embark on her first national tour ahead of the release of the forthcoming album.
